REMAINS OF A FIREAlkyd, 250 × 180 cm, 1985, Papara.
It was a collage composed of pieces of canvas that had survived the deliberate destruction by fire of dozens of canvases. I was sickened by my life among idiots.
A work that I destroyed after exhibiting it in Tahiti’s largest hotel.
Private collection.
Self-portrait from behindWork misappropriated by a brother-in-law, who never returned it to me.

NUUTANIA PRISONThis work was intended to be donated to the Country.
Following the betrayal of a friend, he sold it while it was, and remains, unfinished. Obviously, I never signed it because it is not finished: it was not authorised for sale! French Polynesia and I were victims of misappropriation.
